Beetles and wildfire: a double threat in warming world
Posted on Friday, August 21, 2009Beetles and fire are consuming northern forests in what scientists say is a preview of the future. As climate change warms temperature, drought and weaker trees are more susceptible to pests and wildfires, which in turn can contribute to more warming.
