NASF comments on proposed House Farm Bill
Last week NASF, as part of the Forests in the Farm Bill Coalition, sent comments on the House Agriculture proposed Farm Bill to committee leadership. The Forests in the Farm Bill Coalition represents millions of forest owners, conservationists, hunters, anglers, forest product manufacturers, and natural resource professionals. The Coalition communicated that they understand the Committee’s difficult position in responding to budget constraints while maintaining effective programs and outlined the economic importance forests serve in rural communities and the Coalition's interest in continued funding for industry programs.
NASF will continue to post updates on the 2012 Farm Bill as they happen.
