NY students help identify trees at risk
Students at a high school in New York state will take an active role in raising awareness about the Emerald Ash Borer by tagging ash trees on the school’s campus. The activity is part of Emerald Ash Borer Awareness Week which runs from May 21-28.
The students will tag trees to educate the public using purple ribbons and bright yellow signs that read,” This - and all NYS Ash Trees- are threatened by the invasive insect emerald ash borer.
