Minnesota Extension Educator-Horticulture

The EE-Horticulture will bring in-depth expertise to cutting-edge horticulture issues with particular emphasis on woody plant materials by applying his/her expertise to the priorities of Extension’s Agricultural, Food and Environment (AFE) programs. The EE will employ technology-based and train-the-trainer delivery systems to inform and educate professionals, consumer audiences, and volunteer Master Gardeners through seminars, workshops, writing, and non-credit courses, often in collaboration with University departments and centers. The EE will collaborate with University faculty, graduate students, and Master Gardeners to evaluate and conduct applied research. The EE is responsible for program development and delivery, attention to diversity, use of scholarly/scientific research, effective partnerships, use of technology and continuing professional development.

Candidates must have a Masters degree in horticultural science or related applied plant science. One or more degrees require emphasis in woody ornamental plants and have two years’ professional experience in a field related to the position. Position is open until filled.
