The Forest Resources Association honored Anthony B. Andrews Logging Inc. (based in Trenton, North Carolina) as 2014 National Outstanding Logger on May 8th. FRA Chairman Tom Norris congratulated Anthony Andrews and his family and presented them with a special plaque, commenting, “On behalf of the FRA Board of Directors, it gives me great pleasure to give you the FRA National Outstanding Logger Award for 2014.” Andrews also received recognition as winner of FRA’s Southeastern Region Outstanding Logger award.
Commenting on the special “Plant, Grow, Harvest—America’s Renewable Resource” logo, which displays on his equipment, as well as on mud flaps and public signage, to promote sustainable harvest and the industry he serves, Andrews pointed out, “We were trying to do our best to include the best visual of the logging industry: Plant, Grow, Harvest. People see that we’re not just taking from the forest, but we’re giving back to the forest.”
