Please join us in welcoming the newest addition to the NASF team, Policy Coordinator Eli Lewis!
Eli’s chief responsibility in his new role will be to help the association amplify the value of state and private forestry on Capitol Hill and throughout the Capital Beltway. Eli is eager to support NASF’s Policy Director Robyn Whitney in growing relationships with policymakers and partner organizations that advance a shared stewardship approach to forest policy.
Before starting with NASF, Eli held a public policy internship at the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture where he developed an understanding of the federal legislative process and the fundamentals of association work. Eli holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Vermont in Political Science and Jazz Studies.
Outside of work, Eli enjoys being a part of the District’s music scene and frequenting its world-class museums. He loves art history, painting, and playing tennis. Want to get to know Eli better? Strike up a conversation! Ask him about the intersection between music, art, and politics!
